Therese

Buti yoga, prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga

Therese grew up in Tarmonbarry, County Roscommon. A person of many talents, her background is in nursing, which she has been practising for over 15 years. Her yoga adventure started originally when she moved to Middle East eight years ago. She has been consistently practising over the last four years under different instructors in Doha, Qatar.

She pursued her yoga teacher training in Rishekish in February 2018. Followed by Pre and postnatal pregnancy training in April 2019. She loves to practise all forms of yoga and her latest passions include Rocket and Buti. For her students she enjoys creating a warm, supportive environment which allows them to explore their own practice 

Therese welcomes Mums to Be to our early evening Prenatal Yoga Sessions. Expect cosy evenings. Candles. Long deep restful breaths. Juicy movements for the body and soul. Heartfelt intentions. All wrapped up in one sacred space…

Prenatal yoga

Pregnancy is a magical time but it’s not without its challenges! This class is different to traditional yoga in that it is specifically catered towards expectant mother always keeping their health and comfort at the forefront. Doctors encourage us to stay active during pregnancy, prenatal yoga is a lovely, gentle way to achieve this. In this class expect gentle movements that will get your blood flowing. There are many benefits to prenatal yoga such as increased flexibility, relief from muscle and joint pain, reduction in stress and anxiety and increased strength.                                       Perhaps the most important benefit is connecting with fellow expecting mothers to form a community.

Postnatal yoga

In this class the name of the game is listening to your body and not pushing yourself too much! Childbirth can have many physical and emotional effects; this class helps reconnect with the body and heal from the inside out. Postnatal yoga uses gentle movements, balance and relaxing poses. Baby is absolutely welcome in this space and can even be incorporated into movements! Classes are easy to follow with an emphasis on what feels right for you and what you’re comfortable with. Like prenatal yoga, there is also the added benefit of connecting with other new Mothers who know exactly what you’re going through!
