We are delighted to continue our work with Kristina Baker Kenny and bring you her 2 days (weekend)  of learning this Summer. This Further Learning 2 day short course is ideal for those already working within or curious about working within Holistics. It's a weekend dedicated to feeling out a large array of Sound Healing instruments.

Kristina's teaching and facilitating approach is centred around the deep understanding of Energetics

SOUND AND ENERGY

Sound healing fundamentally revolves around the comprehension of energy dynamics. The practise is built around the idea that sound vibrations can influence and harmonize energy within the body, promoting healing and balance.

By recognizing the relationship between sound and energy, practitioners can utilize specific frequencies to facilitate emotional and physical well-being, ultimately fostering a deeper connection to one's inner self and the surrounding environment.

WHAT IS SOUND HEALING

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that utilizes sound frequencies and vibrations to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This approach often involves instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks, which are believed to facilitate relaxation and balance within the body. By engaging with these sounds, individuals may experience reduced stress, enhanced mood, and improved overall health, as the vibrations resonate with the body's energy centers, fostering a sense of harmony and restoration.

 This connection

  • fosters a greater awareness of body alignment

  • creates a deeper mind-body connection

  •  leads to a more profound, transformative experience on the mat

Ultimately, yoga assists cultivate an environment of trust and support, allowing students to relax into their practice and discover their own potential for growth and self-discovery.

Module One: Introduction to Sound Healing – A Weekend Immersion

Enter into the world of sound!

module 1

Whether you’re completely new to sound healing or have already started experimenting, this module offers a supportive environment to build confidence and connect with others on the same path.

Over the two days, we’ll explore:

Playing Tibetan Singing Bowls with Confidence

Learn how to hold and play Tibetan bowls with proper posture and technique so you can create beautiful, steady tones. We’ll explore different ways to use them in sessions to support relaxation and deep listening.

The Origins & Science of Sound Healing

We’ll look at both the ancient roots and modern science behind sound, frequency, and vibration — how sound impacts the nervous system, shifts brainwave states, and supports emotional and energetic release.

Exploring a Range of Sound Tools

You’ll get to try out a variety of instruments such as crystal bowls, tuning forks, chimes, gongs, and more. We’ll explore how each one works and how they can be used in both group and one-to-one settings.

Creating Inclusive, Welcoming Spaces

Sound naturally breaks down barriers. Together, we’ll explore how to use it to create connection, build trust, and make people feel safe and seen — especially in group work.

Sound as a Powerful Ice-Breaker

Discover how rhythm and vocal play can help people feel at ease, open up, and engage more fully — perfect for retreats, workshops, or any group experience.

Sound Games & Group Activities

I’ll guide you through playful, creative sound-based games that are fun and simple to use in your own sessions. These are great for encouraging presence, interaction, and group flow.

Practical Vocal & Rhythmic Techniques

** We’ll explore easy ways to use rhythm and voice for grounding, activating energy, or guiding a group’s focus — no musical experience needed**

(if you have any instruments, please bring them along!

Module 2: Getting more comfortable with your skills in sound

One to one practice, case studies and practicals

module 2

This immersive weekend is designed for those who have completed Module One: Introduction to Sound Healing (or have equivalent experience). You’ll build your skills through guided practice, small group work, and real-life case studies, learning to create sessions that flow with ease, balance, and intuition.

🎶 Over the Two Days, We’ll Explore:

Tuning Forks for Balance & Energy Alignment

Learn to use both weighted and unweighted tuning forks on and around the body. Discover how different frequencies interact with the nervous system, meridians, and energy centres, and how to combine them for grounding or upliftment.

Working with Crystal Singing Bowls

Explore the luminous tones of crystal bowls and how to use them for cleansing, harmonising, and deep meditative work. Learn practical techniques for layering and sequencing bowls to create resonance, flow, and emotional release.

Playing in Harmony – Developing Your Ear

Deepen your ability to listen and feel sound. We’ll explore overtones, octaves, and blending instruments to create harmonic soundscapes. You’ll learn how to play in balance — combining bowls, chimes, and tuning forks in ways that feel cohesive and soothing.

Guided Practice & Case Studies

Take part in and observe mini sound healing sessions. Gain experience in session flow, intuitive listening, and aftercare, with reflective group feedback to build your confidence and clarity as a practitioner.

Combining Tools with Presence & Intuition

Learn to weave different instruments, rhythm, and voice into your facilitation practice with authenticity and ease. We’ll explore how to sense what’s needed moment to moment and trust your creative instincts.

This Module Is For You If...

You’ve completed Module One or have a basic grounding in sound healing.

You’re ready to refine your skills, develop your musical ear, and expand your toolkit.

You want to create harmonious, balanced sound experiences that truly support others.

Module 3

Gongs, Case Studies & Channelling from Nature

About the Weekend

In this final foundational module, we bring together everything you’ve learned — expanding into gong practice, advanced facilitation, and deep listening to the natural world.

Through continuing case studies, reflective discussion, and immersive sound journeys, you’ll refine your confidence as a practitioner and explore how to let sound arise from intuition, nature, and presence.

We’ll also draw inspiration from traditional Irish musicians and composers who spoke of tunes coming through the land — music that carried the essence of place, story, and spirit. This weekend invites you to reconnect with that same creative source, allowing the sounds of your surroundings to inform and inspire your practice.

The Power of the Gong

Learn to play the gong safely and confidently — exploring rhythm, dynamics, and the art of sustaining powerful, immersive sound. Discover how gongs can support deep release, transformation, and energetic realignment in both individual and group settings.

Continuing Case Studies & Reflective Practice

We’ll build on the practical case study framework from Module Two, deepening your understanding of session flow, intuitive response, and post-session integration. You’ll both facilitate and receive, with group reflection to strengthen your awareness and skill.

Connecting with the Land

Through guided listening walks and outdoor sound work (weather permitting), you’ll learn to attune to the natural rhythms and frequencies around you — trees, wind, water, birdsong — and to translate that connection into your sound practice.

Channelling Sound from Nature & Place

We’ll explore creative exercises that open pathways for spontaneous sound-making and intuitive composition, allowing your practice to be guided by the spirit of the land.

The Irish Tradition of “Tunes from the Land”

Learn about Irish musicians who described their melodies as being received from the landscape — from fairy forts, wells, and ancient sites — and how this echoes the deep listening at the heart of sound healing today.

Integrating Sound, Intuition & Spirit

Through meditation, group improvisation, and reflection, you’ll bring together your learning from all three modules — stepping into your unique sound healing voice, grounded in presence, nature, and heart.
